Renovation of a detached single-family home in Barcelona.

The project involves the renovation of a single-family home located at the foot of Tibidabo Mountain, in the Sarrià-Sant Gervasi district.

The construction was originally an addition of diverse volumes with unequal heights. The proposal seeks to unify the volumes, taking advantage of the richness and diversity of the current state through a precise and detailed structural design.

In terms of layout, the original state features highly compartmentalized spaces of unsuitable dimensions for their intended use. Furthermore, this excessive compartmentalization means these rooms lack adequate lighting and ventilation. The project aims to create spaces that take advantage of natural light and ventilation and allow for diverse and flexible uses. All while maintaining the traces of what existed before the renovation.
